I love the imperfect nature of linocut. There is something charming about it.
GIGI ICÔNE
As far back as she can remember, Gigi Icône was fascinated by fashion and was determined to become a fashion designer. But fate got in the way and, instead, her path led her to the world of graphic design. During her studies in Bielefeld, Germany, she discovered her passion for linocut and started developing her minimalist, black-and-white style. Her artworks are dominated by confident characters and small, everyday things which are reinvented in unusual ways. Her hand-cut art is inspired by travel and the past. Gigi works as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.
