Allison Chaplin

Hailing from Canberra, Australia, artist Allison Chaplin graduated with a Bachelor of Visual Arts with Honours before packing up and moving to Berlin in pursuit of a creative lifestyle. Her work process is composed of three stages: Allison starts each piece by taking or collecting multiple shots of her subjects - from people to penguins - before creating collages to disrupt the images, allowing multiple perspectives to be viewed simultaneously. Finally, she creates oil paintings directly from the collages, one square at a time.
