This modern work of art combines the historical significance of the Porta Nigra with a contemporary, graphic design. The motif shows a striking section of the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Trier, realised in a pointillist style with intense contrasts. The Porta is thus reinterpreted - as a symbol of the connection between past and present.
In the upper section, a sprayed, coloured line breaks up the monotony of the black and white motif and creates a dynamic accent. Each of the nine prints varies in the colour of the line.
