Still Life

Freshly brewed coffee, zesty lemons, a sugary sweet donut... No wonder Miche Watkins loves her work so much. The artist lives in Bristol, a city "full of artists and full of life", where she creates beautiful (and often appetising) still life oil paintings. Miche does all her work in the so-called alla prima style, i.e. in just one session, and invests a lot of time finding the perfect shades to enhance her distinctive motifs. She's particularly drawn to bright, colourful compositions because they have the ability to—literally—brighten up a home and, in her words,"add a dash of happiness".
