It all began with a holiday to the Swiss Alps, and a small disposable camera given to the young Robbert Buitenhuis as a gift from his father. Since then, Robbert—alias robbert.db— has honed his eye for detail and composition, creating work that captures the beauty of the simple things that are so often overlooked at first glance. His photography centres and celebrates landscapes, architecture, and people: all inspired by a love of travel, freedom, and life itself.
