Portraits

With pen and ink on paper, Noora Lehtonen traces the lines of the Scandinavian soul, amplifying the details of braided hair, rugged fabrics and expressive facial features in a realist style. The Finnish artist, who now lives in Denmark after a stint in Norway, has a background in Media Studies and Creative Writing. Her observational talent now carries through her work as she translates her inspirations - the shifting of light, the human shape, passing moments of presence - into her illustrations.
