A never-ending story

If Batman aged like a human, he would have hung up his cape long ago and would probably be enjoying his retirement on a cruise ship today. The superhero was born all the way back in 1939, a year marked by his first appearance in print form. The first Batman comic book was released by a little-known publishing house that would later go on to become the world-famous DC Comics.

Today, at the ripe old age of 80, the Dark Knight continues to appear in countless Hollywood blockbusters and TV series—adventures in which he’s always in hot pursuit of Gotham’s criminal underworld. No doubt, Batman’s cult posters are a must-have for any avid moviegoer.

Museum of Modern Bats

Anyone that flaps from TV sets to the silver screen so consistently and enduringly as Bruce Wayne is bound to become a muse for artists and impersonators alike. Indeed, our collection of Superman, Spider-Man and Batman art is so vast, it could easily fill an entire museum.

In the meantime, we invite you to step inside our virtual bat exhibition and follow the Dark Knight through the great art movements of the 20th and 21st century. You'll definitely be delighted to discover graffiti, street art, and comic-inspired pop art, alongside cubist illustrations and minimalist motifs—all in homage of Gotham City’s saviour.

Superhero class reunion

Who did Batman go to school with? With other superheroes, of course! He always let little Robin copy his maths homework and they later went on to become lifelong friends. Superman and Wonder Woman, on the other hand, constantly challenged him for the title of best in class. Luckily, the Joker and Super Mario, alias the two class clowns, were always there to deescalate the day.

Decades later, the entire class would undoubtedly enjoy a reunion on your walls, so get right to it and put together your very own Wall of Fame. From Batman posters to other superhero portraits, one's never too old to indulge in childhood memories.
