About the artist
Isabelle is a Belgian artist living in Portugal.
She draws inspiration from the calm rhythm of everyday life: the way light gently falls into a room, the warmth of familiar interiors, or the elegance of simple objects arranged in space.
A walk through the fishing village where she lives often sparks new ideas: people sunbathing, friends playing cards, and the details of everyday interiors become sources of reflection and creativity. In her studio, she reflects on these fleeting details and transforms them into compositions that celebrate stillness, memory, and presence.
When she’s not painting, she enjoys jogging, surfing, visiting flea markets, and exploring new places. These experiences, along with the small moments that linger in memory, flow into her work—creating pieces that invite others to slow down and connect with the gentle beauty of life.
