"AMSTERDAM_22_01" - City view at dusk canvas with Floater frame
Reproduction of the original painting by Eduard Warkentin. De Pijp in Amsterdam. Rainy twilight. I have used a new colour palette for me to exaggerate the harshness of the light. In the dark areas I play more with abstraction.

I am an autodidact without any classical art training. I have been painting for more than 8 years now, working almost exclusively in oil. I live and work in Potsdam/Berlin.
My artistic journey began with the inspiration of Camille Pissarro's impressionistic depictions of the Boulevard Montmartre and the cityscapes of contemporary artist Jeremy Mann. To this day, urban motifs are my metier, I am attracted to depicting geometric forms of urbanity with colour, which tends to spread organically over the painting surface. I also occasionally paint landscapes and, more recently, great moments from football.
