"Less and nothing."
Berlin-based artist and designer Julia Danckwerth is a graduate of the capital’s Weißensee Kunsthochschule. After graduating in 2014, she founded her own fashion label, and continued to create paintings and drawings featuring incomplete faces and bodies. She dives into the in-between and experiments with the lengths to which one can stretch minimalism. Julia is fascinated with, as she puts it, “the aesthetic of absence” and it is this curiosity that informs her art.
