Reproduction of the original painting by Eduard Warkentin. The Temple of Poseidon near Athens, evoking the grandeur and majesty of this ancient site. I wanted to create a mixture of realism and impressionism, focusing on the interplay of light and shadow to emphasise the architectural beauty of the temple. With this artwork, I want to convey a deep respect for the history and cultural significance of the Temple of Zeus and invite the viewer to reflect on the enduring legacy of the ancient world.

I am an autodidact without any classical art training. I have been painting for more than 8 years now, working almost exclusively in oil. I live and work in Potsdam/Berlin.
My artistic journey began with the inspiration of Camille Pissarro's impressionistic depictions of the Boulevard Montmartre and the cityscapes of contemporary artist Jeremy Mann. To this day, urban motifs are my metier, I am attracted to depicting geometric forms of urbanity with colour, which tends to spread organically over the painting surface. I also occasionally paint landscapes and, more recently, great moments from football.
