"Landscapes, flowers and people inspire me, I'm also drawn to bright colours and love to experiment."
Thanks to her "one drawing a day" project launched in 2015, Essex-born artist Sonia Brittain, who now lives in California, devotes herself to her art almost every day - alongside her job as a full-time mum. She is particularly inspired by landscapes, flowers and people, and describes playing and expressing herself as essential elements of her creative process. Since her three sons have been born and time is short, she has also learnt to paint quickly and without pressure. Anyone looking at Sonia's work immediately knows what she means: her playful illustrations and colourful watercolours literally glow with light and lightness.
