Passion, for Anika Merten, is the process of creating something radical and new out of nothing. Her work is a meeting of classical forms such as watercolour and line drawing with a modern, digitally composed edge. The beauty lies in the excitement of spontaneity and imperfection, the place where digital and analogue meet. Anika studied communications design and now works as a freelance illustrator and designer in Cologne, Germany.
