Based in Montreal, Laura Graves turns to her artwork when she wants to escape the chaos of city life. Having previously worked in the animation industry, the artist now creates whimsical characters with pencil and ink before adding the finishing touches digitally. Her beautifully detailed drawings are inspired by vintage children's books and fairy tales, and inhabited by sleeping cats, bears in wooly hats and prettily patterned hot air balloons.
