"Strong strokes, pastel colours and 80s nostalgia"
During her studies in fine art, Rachel Peck fell in love with design. The chance to create an exhibition poster for her fellow students prompted her to enrol in an illustration and graphics course at Billy Blue College of Design. Now based in Colorado, the Australian designer admires illustrators such as McBess, Natali Koromoto and Andy Remeter, and finds inspiration in the vortexes of Pinterest and Tumblr. Her playful, feel-good aesthetic is characterised by thick line work, patterns and pleasing pastels in a throwback to children’s cartoons and '80s nostalgia.
