"Through my art, I show myself to the world and translate what my inner self has to say."
Colombian Amalia Restrepo originally studied architecture. She soon realised that her true passion was illustration. She completed her master's degree in illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. For Amalia, creativity is a way to communicate to the world. Her areas of interest range from illustrations for children that address gender equality to magical fantasy creatures drinking tea together. As simple and playful as her illustrations appear, the global message they convey is significant.
