Svenja alias Pixie Cold is a Berliner with skin and hair. Someone who grew up in a large, creative family. She and her five siblings have somehow always been involved in art. So it's not too surprising that Svenja turned her hobby into a career in early 2012. For her, however, art is more than just a pastime with brushes and paper. Being creative literally gave her life a new meaning and helped her through tough times: When Svenja was living on the streets and rebelling against grievances within herself and the political reality she faced, it was art that strengthened her and allowed her to grow. In 2009, Pixie Cold discovered the possibilities the internet offered her in sharing and distributing her art. To her surprise, the fan base attracted by her colourful, fantastical illustrations grew steadily - and continues to do so today.
