"Architectural drawing meets travel poster in Art Deco style."
When Henry Rivers is not illustrating or designing book covers, he enjoys country life in a small town near Bordeaux. However, he finds inspiration for his work in places far removed from the French province. Whether Tokyo or Rio de Janeiro, Rivers collects visual memories and urban impressions while travelling to foreign places, both physically and through the vastness of the internet. Based on his findings, he designs contemporary posters that know how to soothe even the worst wanderlust in delicate colours. The fact that he has a degree in architecture can be seen in the combination of large landscape impressions and fine details that bring his prints to life.
