"TOKYO_22_02" Shibuya intersection in the rain poster
Reproduction of the original painting by Eduard Warkentin. The famous intersection in Shibuya, Tokyo in the rain. As a reference, I used an old video in poor quality that I recorded years ago. I was inspired by the aesthetics of the source material. The density of people and architecture blurs the boundaries.

I am an autodidact without any classical art training. I have been painting for more than 8 years now, working almost exclusively in oil. I live and work in Potsdam/Berlin.
My artistic journey began with the inspiration of Camille Pissarro's impressionistic depictions of the Boulevard Montmartre and the cityscapes of contemporary artist Jeremy Mann. To this day, urban motifs are my metier, I am attracted to depicting geometric forms of urbanity with colour, which tends to spread organically over the painting surface. I also occasionally paint landscapes and, more recently, great moments from football.
