"Everybody likes food. It’s simple, but it still evokes feelings within us; of desire, of nostalgia."
Kelly Gilleran likes her food on the table and on the easel. She creates hand-painted and illustrated images of food and Americana that call to mind the Golden Age of Advertising, diner culture and classic pin-ups. After studying art at the Sacred Heart University in Connecticut, she moved west to Colorado to study for an art-teaching degree, all the while continuing to create culinary-inspired cartoon pieces in the iconic 1950s style.
