"I want to create something that will be cherished forever."
From Paowla the owl to Greg the bulldog, Tein Traniello's anthropomorphic art transforms pets into aristocrats of bygone eras. Sometimes they wear stately ruffs, sometimes war medals - the courtly cats, cockatoos and chihuahas who are happy to have their portrait immortalised for posterity. The idea for the project "L`Animorphe" was born in Tein's studio in Amsterdam, when he decided to portray his faithful Labradoodle Ventje (which means "little guy" in Dutch).
