James Alan Hetfield (born August 3, 1963) is a songwriter, founder, singer, and rhythm guitarist of the heavy metal band Metallica. James and his three friends who joined Metallica are one of The Big Four, namely Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, and Megadeth through the uniqueness and style of each of the four bands that the thrash metal genre once reached its peak of glory. James Hetfield is famous for his guitar riffs that are not too 'complicated' but very fitting and suitable when paired with other instruments.
