My style does not pretend to be anything more than a diversion, a way of looking at the world in a more aesthetic, rose-coloured-way.

Despite not directly painting Costa Brava’s seascape in her work, Maria, the artist behind Berserk Prints, captures the luminosity and vitality of her Mediterranean home perfectly. Her prints are a spotlight on life’s abundance and simple pleasures: the soft rumble of voices and clatter of cutlery of al fresco dining, the fresh sea breeze, and all the colours of the natural world–fruits, flowers, wildlife. Her pieces possess a subtle but noticeable texture that brings a delicate energy to the final piece, one where you find yourself fighting the desire to reach out and pluck a plump segment of orange from a patterned plate, hoping to take a bite.
