Wise old owl

In Western thought, owls are associated with age-old wisdom and knowledge. This most likely stems from symbolism of Ancient Greece, where the scholarly city of Athens and its patron goddess both had the owl as their emblem. What's more, the link between owls and intelligence may well be the reason for which a group of them is known as a parliament. So, if you want to surround yourself with avian sagacity, decorate your interior with owl cushions and let them do the twit twoo-ing.

Not so early birds

You're a big night owl? So are the birds themselves, of course. With their large, beady eyes and ability to fly in near-silence, they're very well-adapted to nocturnal life. While we humans rely on our daily dose of sun, the moonlight is an owl's best friend. So why not pair your owl cushions with some atmospheric moon cushions? Put together, they'll no doubt remind you of the famous Owl and Pussycat, who went out to sea and 'danced by the light of the moon, the moon, the moon...'.

From Hogwarts to Tokyo

Speaking of poetry, owls certainly have their place in literature. They feature several times in Aesop's fables, as well as in works by modern-day writers such as A. A. Milne and J. K. Rowling. Appearing alongside other creatures like Winnie the Pooh, owls are integral to magical literary worlds—to which you can make reference by adding bear cushions and more to your collection! And don't forget that, in Japanese culture, our wise feathered friends are considered lucky charms. So with owl cushions you'll not only be alluding to fiction and fairytales, but fostering good fortune too.
