This original watercolour seeks to capture the elegance of the women of the Roaring Twenties (1900-1920). Dressed in a flowing deep blue dress and adorned with a turban adorned with glittering pearls, this woman embodies the glamour and grace of a bygone era.
Her gaze, at once mysterious and confident, evokes the audacity and independence of the icons of the Belle Époque. Through this watercolour, I'm trying to capture an atmosphere imbued with nostalgia and sophistication.

"As a painter based in Reims, I'm very involved in the animal cause. All my work is entirely handmade. I also create custom-made portraits from your photos."
All my work is entirely handmade. From their conception in a sketchbook, where my imagination needs to express itself, to the final brushstroke, each colour tells a story. In particular, I like to play with subliminal messages, those that you only discover when you linger and try to find what I wanted to express. I don't paint beauty for beauty's sake, but I try to tell stories, even through things that at first glance seem insipid or uninteresting. Based in Reims, France, I specialise in portraiture, but I also like to paint the landscapes that surround me, and denounce human behaviour in order to question the world.
