"Discovering the world doesn't just mean seeing places to me, but experiencing stories and sharing them with you."
My images reflect exactly what I want to convey with fokusfernweh: the stories behind the places I travel to. With my photographs, I capture the vastness and tranquillity of unique natural landscapes - be it the majestic Namib Desert, the rugged coast of the Canary Islands or the gigantic Okavango Delta.
In the cities, I try to bring the atmosphere to life. Whether it's winding alleyways, historic buildings or the colourful hustle and bustle of markets, such as in Tokyo, Rethymno or Alghero - I want you to feel as if you were there yourself.
I am particularly fascinated by cultural highlights, such as the radiant architecture of the Kinkakuji temple in Kyoto or the colourful facades of the old town of Bosa. My pictures should be more than just snapshots - they should tell the stories that touch and inspire me when I'm travelling.
