"I want to bring water closer to everyone. It's so versatile, that's what motivates me. The timing, the light, the water, everything has to be perfect in this fleeting moment."
I find it really exciting to photograph water in all its forms. My equipment: water bowl, drop dispenser, coloured film, high-speed camera and a flash. A dark room and a lot of patience. Sometimes I find the right timing quickly, sometimes it takes several hours. It fascinates me again and again. Of course, I always take my camera with me on my excursions into nature. The weather plays a big role here. The light, the wind, the mood and the right place. Everything has to be right. Sometimes I decide to photograph a motif, such as a waterfall. But suddenly I see something unexpected on the way, a mood, water. That's how my motifs are created. I am very fascinated by the element of water. The variety and the different forms that water can take, paired with different moods - I want to bring this closer to everyone.
