I am fascinated by how colourful abstraction without clear motifs can convey so much emotion. It doesn't need to be recognisable to achieve a strong effect. When I paint, I often sink into a meditative state - the brush almost guides me by itself. I experiment with colours, surfaces and textures, and suddenly everything makes sense, even though there was no plan. This way of working is deeply liberating. It connects me with my innermost self and at the same time with something bigger.
