This work of art fuses realistic miniature figures with expressive colour painting: bathers move through turquoise water surfaces that fade into strong orange and sand tones. The impasto brushstrokes lend the scene texture and dynamism, while the combination of reality and abstraction combines summery lightness with artistic depth.

"I don't look for beauty - I create spaces in which beauty reveals itself if you let it."
I am Mira Calvé, born in Arles and at home in Marseille. In my work, I combine Mediterranean colours with clear forms and quiet emotions. My motifs are intended to reach people who not only want to see beauty, but feel it - whether modern, classic or somewhere in between. I create pictures for everyone who loves aesthetics - unagitated, honest and with a touch of poetry.
