"Old, analogue photos appeal to me. The blurrier, the better."
Between surrealism and children's books, between vintage and millennium: Terry Fan studied at the Ontario College for Art & Design in Toronto, where he experimented with creative writing, painting and sculpture, photography, film and illustration. Today he specialises in the latter, but the other disciplines also find their way into his work. He often combines characters from classic films or literature with photos of historical figures or creates drawings inspired by them. He particularly likes to use animals as motifs and gives them human, fairytale-like features.
