"Balanced, bold and unpretentious, with reference to both the past and the future."
Finnish artist Pietari Posti has moved to Barcelona, which is sunnier and warmer than his native Finland. There he is the head of the design studio Studio Posti and specialises in expressive illustrations that sometimes show animals, sometimes vehicles, sometimes women, sometimes architecture or even a fusion of several subject areas. Posti's works are reminiscent of colourful dream images that do not always adhere to realistic events, but whose surreal power makes them all the more haunting, from book covers to table linen and stamps: Posti's work has already penetrated a wide variety of sectors, giving clients such as Random House, Citi Bank and the New York Times a strong character.
