Zhi-Yun Zhang shows us what influence cartoon programmes can have on artistic work: the style of the illustrator from the small, cosy town of Lübeck is unmistakably influenced by his childhood favourites. At weekends, Zhi-Yun could hardly wait to switch on the television in the morning. It was unthinkable to miss Disney programmes, Dragonball or Pokemon. Zhang has tried out many design styles, but it seemed only natural for him to stick with the one that has stayed with him the longest. He finds inspiration for his work in the media as well as in pop and hip-hop culture or in everyday events. The fact that he now works as a freelance illustrator is not only due to his enthusiasm for children's television programmes, but also to the fact that stars such as Pharrell, A$AP Rocky & DJ Khaled have already shared his work.

Ordered door mats from Juniqe. When they didn't arrive I contacted their customer service. I was a bit worried about how that would go, but I have to say, they were really great - got back to me immediately, polite, friendly and really helpful. They chased the delivery and when they weren't happy with the reply from the courier - resent the order, which I received really quickly. The mats are lovely and I'm pleased overall.
