"There can never be enough patterns in the world!"
After Jana Otto completed her degree in communication design, she found the courage for the first time to push ahead with her own projects instead of admiring other illustrators in awe. Even as a child, Jana knew that she would one day pursue a career in art. Today, the artist, who lives in Aachen, likes to try out different techniques and draws inspiration for her pattern designs from flora and fauna. However, time-honoured buildings such as Aachen Cathedral can also have an influence on her creative results, which she would prefer to realise in her own small studio in the future, surrounded by as many cats as possible.
