"I like my life to be hectic and chaotic, but I like my pictures to be clear and tidy."
From atmospheric animal portraits to floral compositions and architectural details: Babett Schultze's images oscillate between close-up and macro photography. The process of identifying the most interesting part of a photo is particularly important to the Berlin-based photographer. The outcome is not always clear beforehand. One constant, however, is her love of playing with light and shadow and the mix between spontaneous snapshots and planned stagings.
