Immediately after graduating with honours with a Bachelor of Visual Arts, artist Allison Chaplin packed her bags and moved from Canberra, Australia, to Berlin to live out her creativity to the full. Allison's work process is divided into three stages: she begins by taking or collecting photographs of her subjects (be they people or penguins) before creating collages that break up the existing image and allow us to view it from several different angles at the same time. In the final stage, Allison's "reality-distorting" oil paintings are created box by box from the collages.
