"I’m inspired by the little things that often go unnoticed in everyday life – a good cup of coffee, plants, places and quiet moments. It’s precisely this feeling that I want to capture in my illustrations."

I’m Kira, a communication designer and illustrator from Munich. I’ve been drawing and painting ever since I was a child. Today, under the name Menki Line, I create illustrations inspired by the little things in everyday life. My designs revolve around moments, places and things that convey a sense of calm, lightness and joie de vivre to me: plants, coffee, travel or little thoughts that you like to look back on. I create my illustrations by hand using digital tools. I work primarily with minimalist lines, subtle splashes of colour and a deliberately imperfect style. It’s important to me that the hand-drawn character remains evident even in the finished design. With Menki Line, I aim to create images that blend effortlessly into modern spaces whilst still conveying something personal. Little visual reminders not to overlook the beautiful things in everyday life.
