"I see myself as a catalyst for evolution."

Ralf Ankner, aka RAAN, likes to work between pencil on paper and acrylic on canvas. After emerging onto Ulm’s alternative art scene during the 1990s, his paintings were featured in a series of group exhibitions in Cologne. A short hiatus from the art world saw him put down his paintbrush to work as a bike courier, before his passion was reignited in the context of digital image and video editing years later. RAAN’s dream would be to own a pedal boat rental place that also hosts an art space and cinema.
