"Tasmanian Artist, who loves to paint cats, figurative & abstracts💚"

Sharyn Bursic is a self-taught, naive figurative artist whose work captures the beauty and humor in everyday life. With a playful and intuitive approach, Sharyn creates vibrant, emotive paintings using a range of mediums, including watercolour, acrylic, and oil. Her work is filled with whimsical yet heartfelt depictions of everyday moments—whether it's a cat lounging on a lap, people enjoying a quiet evening with a glass of wine, or animals caught in a candid, relaxed moment. Sharyn’s distinctive style brings a sense of warmth and charm to familiar scenes, often infused with a subtle sense of humour. Her figurative works are both intimate and accessible, inviting viewers to see the extraordinary in the simple, day-to-day activities that define our lives. In addition to her figurative pieces, she also explores abstract painting, where her playful use of colour and form continues to reflect the joy she finds in the world around her. Many of her originals are now in private collections around the world.
